ICCL reiterates call for garda ombudsman

The Irish Council for Civil Liberties has reiterated its call for the appointment of an independent ombudsman to investigate complaints against the Garda Siochana.

The call came ahead of the launch of an ICCL policy paper calling for the Patten proposals on reform of the RUC to be applied to the Garda Síochana.
