SDLP selects four south Down election candidates
The SDLP has selected four candidates to defend its three seats in the south Down constituency in the Assembly elections scheduled for May 1.
Sitting MLAs Eamonn O'Neill and PJ Bradley will be joined on the party's ticket by Margaret Ritchie, a former candidate for the SDLP deputy leadership, and Marion Fitzpatrick.
At the selection convention last night, Mr O'Neill topped the poll, with Ms Ritchie coming second and Mr Bradley third.
Earlier this week, the SDLP's south Down MP, Eddie McGrady announced that he would not be seeking re-election to the Assembly.
