The Tánaiste Mary Harney has told the Dáil that if necessary, legislation will be brought in urgently to close the loophole in drink-driving cases.

Her comments come after a critical Supreme Court ruling yesterday. The Supreme Court ruled that observing suspects for 20 minutes before a breath sample had no basis in law.
