FG calls for VAT exemption for tour operators

Fine Gael has urged the Government to introduce a VAT exemption for tour operators who had signed contracts before the VAT rate was increased by 1% in the last budget.

Party spokesman Jimmy Deenihan said these operators cannot pass the increase on to their customers and will, therefore, have to absorb the cost themselves.
