Gardai arrest four men in Limerick

Gardai have arrested four men in Limerick in connection with the murder of Kieran Keane.

The arrests are part of the ongoing investigation into the murder of Keane and also thought to be linked to the continued family feuds in Limerick city.

Kieran Keane, 36, was murdered in a gangland-style killing outside Limerick City on January 30.

The incident happened as the search continued for Eddie and Kieran Ryan - brothers missing since being abducted in Limerick nearly a week beforehand.

The men in garda custody are aged between 20 and 40.

Gardai arrested them at a number of locations across the city between 7.30 and 8am today.

All four are being held at Mayorstone and Roxboro garda stations under Section 30 of the Offences against the State Act.

The men can be held for a maximum of 72 hours without charge.
