Gardaí in Dublin have seized almost €500,000 worth of forged banknotes following a search at the Corduff shopping centre in north Dublin last night.

Gardaí in Dublin have seized almost €500,000 worth of forged banknotes following a search at the Corduff shopping centre in north Dublin last night.

€200,000 worth of forged €10 and €50 notes and Stg £150,000 in forged Stg £10 notes were found during the search, along with a printing press, printers, scanners and computer hardware.

A 54-year-old man was arrested at the scene and is being questioned by detectives in Blanchardstown.
