Prague court allows extradition in 'IRA' investigation

A court in Prague has ruled that a Scottish man can be extradited to Germany to face charges in connection with a mortar attack on a British army base.

Michael Dickson, from Strathclyde in Scotland, is wanted in both Britain and Germany for connection with an IRA mortar attack on the Osnabruck base in 1996.

He has been on the run since, and he was arrested as he tried to smuggle cigarettes into the Czech Republic in December.

He immediately appealed today's ruling, which must be approved by the Czech Justice Minister.
