Location of loyalist group still unknown

The whereabouts of the group of renegade loyalists forced from their homes onto the ferry to Scotland yesterday still is not known.

However in a phone call back to the North, Johnny Adair's henchman, John White, said he would not be intimidated and would be returning to the North.

He said the UDA men who had forced the group out of the Shankill Road in Belfast were nothing but a "gang of criminals".

Mr White, a former life sentence prisoner imposed for the brutal stabbing to death of a former member of the SDLP and his secretary in the 1970's, owns a home in Carrickfergus, Co Antrim.
