Chief Whip accuses Green Party of playing games

The Deputy Government Chief Whip is accusing the Green Party of playing word games over the Shannon airport vandalism attacks.

Billy Kelleher says it is time for Green leader, Trevor Sargeant, to condemn the attacks and repair relations with the United States.

He says it is all the more serious following the recovery of weapons by gardai at what is supposed to have been a peace demonstration.

"The Green Party's failure to condemn the initial attack is seen by many as an encouragement for many others to take place."
