Taxi drivers do not wish to stop traffic, says SIPTU

SIPTU representative Gerry Brennan says that the stoppage in Dublin today will continue over a period of time.

He insists that today's actions will be repeated until something is done to improve matters since deregulation was introduced.

He says that taxi drivers to do not wish to cause any disruption to the general public in Dublin however they have focused their attentions on Dublin airport because they have a high level of customers there.

Taxi drivers will not be using their vehicles to block traffic in today's action.
