Louth gardaí following definite line of inquiry

Gardai investigating last night's violent murder in Co Louth are following a definite line of inquiry.

The state pathologist completed a post-mortem examination on the body of a 28-year-old man who was attacked in his home in Drogheda.

A gang of up to three men used a pick axe and wooden handles to beat the man.

Garda Superintendent Fergus Doggett said the man only moved to the area recently. He says that the man moved into the area in December.
