Murder trial jury fails to reach verdict today

A murder trial jury was sent to a hotel overnight after failing to reach a verdict in the case of a Somalian man charged with murdering his 20-month-old son.

Yusif Ali Abdi (aged 30) with an address at The Elms, College Road, Clane, Co Kildare has pleaded not guilty to the murder of Nathan Bakara Andrew Ali at the same address on April 17, 2001.
