Sinn Fein President Gerry Adams has said the IRA would respond imaginatively to show it has given up violence if the British government and unionists are prepared to implement the Good Friday Agreement.

Mr Adams made his prediction in an interview in today’s Guardian where he said republicans would respond positively to gestures from Downing Street.
