Govt announces €100,000 grant for Refugee Council

Justice Minister Michael McDowell has announced a €100,000 grant for the Irish Refugee Council to help it meet staffing, accommodation and information technology costs.

Mr McDowell praised the council's work and said it can make a valuable contribution through interacting with refugees and asylum seekers on the one hand and the Government on the other.
