Bogus residents targeted in tax clampdown

The tax authorities are making a new bid to collect unpaid taxes from the holders of bogus non-resident bank accounts.

A further 40,000 inquiry letters to individuals linked to 21,500 false accounts have gone out by registered mail from the Revenue Commissioners.
