Ballinasloe workers to receive 'strong severance package'

An electronics factory in Co Galway is closing with the loss of 385 jobs.

The company, Square D, says market demand for it's product, Circuit breakers, is the main reason for the decision. When the Ballinasloe factory opened 31 years ago it primarily supplied the UK but it's main market now is in America.
