IPU reiterates opposition to deregulation

The Irish Pharmaceutical Union has reiterated its view that deregulation of the pharmacy sector will not benefit consumers.

A Government-appointed review group is expected to recommend deregulation, but the IPU said a quality service can only be achieved when ownership of pharmacies is retained by practitioners.
