Murder captured on CCTV camera

Detectives are studying CCTV footage of the murder of a 24-year-old man in a seaside town.

The attack captured on camera in Portrush, Co Antrim did not involve weapons and police do not believe the incident was sectarian.

A 23-year-old man has been arrested and is helping police with their inquiries.

The dead man, who was from the nearby town of Coleraine, was involved in the incident at Station Square just after 1.45am.

Detectives in Coleraine have made an appeal to anyone who was in the area at the time to come and want to speak to a taxi driver who picked up a fare at the time of the man’s death.
