Man in court in connection with Cork death

A man in his forties is to appear in Cork district court this morning in connection with the death of a Dublin woman.

The 33-year-old woman's body was found in her Cork city home last Friday.

A post mortem showed that Jean Scanlon died from multiple injuries.

It is expected that the proceedings in court will commence at around 11am.
