A drug smuggler died in hospital today after being poisoned by cocaine he had swallowed.

A drug smuggler died in hospital today after being poisoned by cocaine he had swallowed.

The 19-year-old, believed to be Estonian, was taken to hospital in Limerick last night when a KLM jet he was travelling on made an emergency landing at Shannon airport in Co Clare.
