Man in court after statue attack on priest

A 38-year-old man was remanded in custody today following an attack on a Catholic priest with a nativity scene statue during Mass.

Kevin Barry Johnston, who has no fixed address, faced Ards magistrates in Co Down on three charges relating to an assault on Father Henry McCann in the seaside town of Bangor yesterday.
