A joint operation between Gardai and Customs has led to the seizure of ecstasy tablets worth €200,000 in Dublin.

A total of 20,000 tablets were recovered in the Kilbarrack area of the city.

The seizure took place last evening when a house was searched in the Coolock area. A man has been arrested and is being detained at Coolock Garda Station.

The search followed a surveillance operation.
