Census figures to confirm narrowing of Protestant-Catholic gap

Census figures due to be released later today are expected to confirm a decrease in the North's Protestant population and an increase in Catholic numbers.

Leaked figures have put the Protestant population at less than 46%, with Catholics at more than 40%.
