Govt moves to deal with intl terrorism threat

The Government is to introduce legislation to strengthen the hand of the State in dealing with the threat of international terrorism.

A Dail bill incorporating the establishment of a new range of offences – including hostage-taking and assisting terrorism – was being tabled in Dublin today by Justice Minister Michael McDowell.
