Police in the North have tightened security in north and west Belfast due to an ongoing feud between the leadership of the Ulster Defence Association and Johnny Adair, commander of the group's notorious "C" Company.

Three months ago, Adair and his closest ally, John White, were expelled from the UDA for siding with the LVF during a separate feud between the two groups.
