Man arrested after pipe bomb find
Police in the North have arrested a man following the discovery of a pipe bomb underneath a car in Ballymoney, Co Antrim, last night.
Bomb disposal experts carried out a controlled explosion on the device, which was found in the Garryduff area. Police said they do not believe the incident had a sectarian motive.
Meanwhile, a man in his 30's is recovering in hospital today after being shot in both legs in an overnight paramilitary-style punishment attack. The man was found in a field near the Ballybean estate on the outskirts of east Belfast.
