All future employees of Dublin's Mater hospital will have to have Garda clearance before being offered a job there, according to an article in a Sunday newspaper.

All future employees of Dublin's Mater hospital will have to have Garda clearance before being offered a job there, according to an article in a Sunday newspaper.

A spokeswoman for the hospital told the Sunday Tribune this weekend that every staff member, from cleaners to senior consultants, will be vetted by the Gardai before they are employed.
