Gardai launch Dublin murder inquiry

Gardai in Dublin have launched a murder inquiry following the fatal stabbing of a 38-year-old man in the north of the city overnight.

The victim sustained severe head injuries in the attack on the Ballybough Road at about 11.30pm last night.

A post mortem will be carried out this afternoon.

A knife was found at the scene, but no arrests have been made.
