Labour call for Government action on BSE

The Labour party has warned the Government must act after the latest BSE figures by setting up a separate department with responsibility for food.

This year, five cases of BSE have been found in animals under six years old. Labour's agriculture and food spokeswoman, Mary Upton, says no real explanation has been given so far.
