Sligo, Dundalk, Letterkenny and the Athlone-Mullingar-Tullamore triangle are set to benefit most from the National Spatial Strategy due to be unveiled later today.

The four areas will be named as 'gateways' in the policy document, which aims to distribute investment and development in a balanced way throughout Ireland.
