Greens concerned about Prestige oil spill
The Green Party has said it is concerned that the unfolding oil tanker disaster off Spain's Atlantic coast could have serious consequences for Ireland.
The Prestige, which had its hull damaged in storms, has now sank with 65,000 tonnes of oil on board.
Environmentalists have warned that some of the oil could reach the shores of Ireland by the end of this week.
Green Party spokesman Eamon Ryan said this would affect the marine environment, tourism and whole range of economies that depend on the sea.
