Irish join Italian war protest
More than 100 Irish people have joined an anti-war demonstration in Italy against the recent UN security council resolution on Iraq.
Up to 300,000 people including the Irish attendants are marching through Florence to show their opposition against any form of military action on Iraq.
Marnie Holborrow from Globalised Resistance Ireland insists that governments must now take notice to the growing opposition in Europe.
Irish delegates at the protest include trade unionists, environmentalists and supporters of third-world development.
