The Irish Farmers Association has suspended its protests for a fortnight outside major beef processing plants over low cattle prices.

This follows negotiations with some companies in the last few days and an increase in prices at some plants.

However, the North-Tipperary section of the IFA is still unhappy with the situation and is continuing its dispute at the AIBP plant in Nenagh this afternoon.
