SF say they will treat Reid successor no different

Sinn Fein say they will deal with John Reid's successor as Northern Ireland secretary in the very same way.

Dr Reid is being replaced by Welsh Secretary Paul Murphy in the role of Secretary of State for Northern Ireland.

Speaking in Dublin, Sinn Fein Assembly member, Conor Murphy said it is policies, not personalities that count.

"We have always been more concerned with British policy than actually who the personality is in Hillsborough castle.

"So whoever replaces John Reid we will be dealing with them on the exact same basis. Our main concern is to change British policy in Ireland."
