Govt appoints McCracken to Supreme Court

The Government has appointed High Court Judge Brian McCracken to the Supreme Court.

Mr Justice McCracken will replace Mr Justice Frank Murphy, who has retired.

Mr Justice McCracken was the chairman of the tribunal established in 1997 to investigate payments to TDs and political parties by businessman Ben Dunne.
