Five men held in connection with a probe into the Continuity IRA have been released without charge.

Five men held in connection with a probe into the Continuity IRA have been released without charge.

They were arrested as part of an ongoing investigation into the activities of dissident Republicans.

A Garda Special Branch picked up the group, three from Limerick and two from Dublin, at a Limerick City pub on Wednesday in a planned swoop.

Detectives have said their investigations are continuing.
