Final decision on national stadium due next month
The Government has pledged to make final decision on the feasibility of a privately funded national stadium by the end of November.
Speaking after a meeting with the Taoiseach today, the Football Association of Ireland said it has secured a definite timetable for a decision on the stadium.
Friday week is the deadline for expressions of interest from private businessmen and the Government has promised to deliver a final decision by November 30.
Sports Minister, John O’Donoghue, said today that two parties have already expressed an interest in funding the stadium following the Government’s decision not to provide taxpayers’ money for the project.
