Vomiting bug continues to spread at Beaumont

Beaumont Hospital in Dublin has reported 12 more suspected cases of the winter vomiting virus over the past 24 hours.

A total of 69 patients are now displaying symptoms of the virus, with 16 of the hospital’s 19 wards affected.

Restrictions on visitors remain in force and elective admissions are still postponed until further notice.

Outpatient services are continuing as normal.
