The Minster for Social and Family Affairs Mary Coughlan TD has approved funding of €21,500 for the National Adult Literacy Agency’s ‘International Literacy Day Conference 2002’.

The conference, which is being held on Saturday next, 12 October 2002, will focus on the important role that literacy plays in helping people into employment and retaining them there.
