Garda assaulted in Dublin

A member of the Gardai was assaulted last night in Co Dublin.

He received head and facial cuts when he was trying to make an arrest on Butterfield Avenue in Rathfarnham.

The guard was taken to Tallaght Hospital where he received stitches to the head.
