Police in the North have warned a number of leaders of the Ulster Defence Association that their lives are under threat following the expulsion of Johnny Adair from the paramilitary organisation yesterday.

Mr Adair, the UDA’s former commander in west Belfast, was expelled after other UDA leaders accused him of siding with the Loyalist Volunteer Force during an ongoing inter-loyalist feud.
