Homes evacuated after Waterford gas leak

Residents have been evacuated from their homes following a gas leak in Waterford this morning.

Several streets in the town have also been sealed off.

It is believed workmen digging a section of the road at Manor Street hit a gas mains.

Diversions are in place and Gardaí and emergency crews are monitoring the situation.
