Man charged with O'Connell murder

A 25-year-old man has been charged with the murder of Derek O'Connell in Cork city last weekend.

At a special sitting of Cork District Court today, Martin O'Leary was charged with the murder of Mr O'Connell at Blackrock Castle on September 15.

A second man, 24-year-old Philip Dorney, was charged with intimidating another person who is a potential witness in the case.
