Greenpeace anticipate opposition at protest

Greenpeace are anticipating opposition when they protest at the arrival of two nuclear carrying ships in the Irish Sea tomorrow.

However, Greenpeace campaigner Shaun Burnie maintains that the protest will be peaceful.

"We will not try to stop the ships but we will be sending a strong message to the UK government and BNFL that this must be the last shipment that passes through."

However, Greenpeace have experienced opposition to their protests before.

"We're expecting British Royal Naval vessels. We were bugged yesterday by a Nimrod reconnaissance aircraft.

"We know in the past that Marine army helicopters have chased us when we have tried to stop these types of shipments."
