Less than 500 miles left for nuclear ships

Environmental protestors aboard a flotilla of ships have now located the nuclear cargo ships that are now on their way to Sellafield.

According to Greenpeace and other members of the protests groups, the BNFL two nuclear freighters heading for Sellafield with the controversial shipment of plutonium fuel will arrive on Tuesday.

The ships were located yesterday in the North Atlantic, 200 miles west of the French port of Brest.

It's thought that the ships have sailed more than 17,500 miles at this stage since leaving Japan in July.

They are now less than 450 miles form their final destination, Barrow-in-Furness.
