Woman dies in Cork road accident

A 72-year-old woman has died following an accident on the North Ring Road in Cork.

She was knocked down by a motorcycle near Park Court at 7.45pm last night.

It is thought the motorcyclist was only slightly injured in the accident and has now been released from Cork University Hospital.

The woman's name has not yet been released.
