Serious assault in Tralee

Gardai in Tralee, Co Kerry are investigating an assault on a man in the early hours of this morning.

The 40-year-old received serious injuries when he was attacked on Ashe Street between 2.30am and 3am.

He is now being treated for his injuries at Cork University Hospital.
