Man found dead in Drogheda

Gardai are trying to identify the body of a man found in Drogheda last night.

The scene remains sealed off and deputy state pathologist Dr Marie Cassidy has begun a post mortem examination.

The remains were found last night in a disused shed, off the main N1 Dublin Belfast Road, north of the town.

It’s believed the body had been there for at least a week.
