Pregnant Catholic woman ‘in danger from loyalists’
Police in north Belfast have informed a pregnant Catholic woman that her life is in danger from loyalists, according to a local Sinn Fein councillor.
Margaret McClenaghan said the woman, who lives in Ardoyne, was told to take immediate security precautions because loyalists had details of her car and the route she takes to work every day.
“This news raises serious questions for the Loyalist Commission, who assured us that loyalist groups were on cessation and were operating a ‘no first strike’ policy,” Ms McClenaghan said.
“The fact that they are targeting nationalists on a daily basis clearly raises questions for that organisation.”
