Unionist expelled from Stormont Assembly
A unionist has been expelled form the Stormont assembly for calling Gerry Kelly of Sinn Fein a "convicted murderer".
The accusation came during a debate on sectarianism, which has been marked by bad tempered exchanges between unionists and republicans.
Today’s debate has not shown the assembly united against sectarianism as some had hoped.
Paddy Roche of Northern Ireland Unionist Party, which opposes the Good Friday Agreement, accused Gerry Kelly of being a convicted murderer for his role in the Old Bailey bombing in 1973.
When Mr Kelly argued that he had never been charged or convicted of murder, Mr. Roche refused to withdraw and was expelled from the house.
